November 2023 Edition of "Your Hometowne" - A desk!!!

Editor Cheryl Hill selected a desk image for the cover shot of November 2023 "Your Hometowne Magazine .' What??? you say. A desk???  Now wait a minute. It's not any ordinary desk. This desk is found inside the historic Grants Cottage, last address for President / General Grant who by then was suffering from an advanced case of throat cancer and writing his memoirs while fighting intense pain, in order to save his family from poverty, due to being swindled out of their savings. So, that's why you see the map of  Vicksburg on the desk. Go visit Grant Cottage when they open back up in Spring. Youll be amazed.

Sue spotlights another wonderful organization in "Simply Saratoga" magazines upcoming  holiday issue. It's all about the Nurse Honor Guard of the Capital District honoring a nurses career at the nurses memorial or funeral service. Our heartfelt thank-you to you.

Vermont Veterans Home and our beloved veterans

We recently arranged to have lunch at the Vermont Veterans Home while participating in a ABC Road Rally. It was a win/win. We were honored to sit with the veterans and have lunch, and   they loved seeing the cars! What a great place. I'll be back! Hi Lloyd and Mike!!! Art is pictured below next to my Mustang. We had so much fun!

Simply Saratoga Magazine

I recently was added to the stable of writers and photographers that have accepted articles for production in Simply Saratoga Magazine thanks to editor Chris bushee. 

The first article spotlighted Army veteran Jimmy Thomas and his Eastern seaboard kayak and bike trip last winter ( 2023) to raise awareness for  service dogs needed  for qualified veterans. 

The Second article will be coming out next month about the Lake Luzerne Town Ambassador Program.
