Saratoga Arts "All Member Show" will be on display until January 7, 2023

The "All Member" art show will be on exhibit until January 7, 2023. Each member was allowed to submit one piece of art, so it's a pretty eclectic collection! I dedicated my image below to all the native  children taken from their families and forced to live in  barren, military style boarding schools starting in 1819 - 1969. These schools existed across the USA and Canada. Most children suffered in those boarding schools one way or another, some dying at their school for unknown reasons. Staff had no background checks done on them back then. Children were freely punished physically for being who they knew themselves to be. Other traumas  went unchecked. Records are lost due to lack of transparency, and lack of concern.

SCHS / Schenectady NENY YWCA Festival of Trees 2022

The "Mom Tree" is up again in 2022 at the Schenectady YWCA by  popular request. Honoring all moms. They deserve it. We are also raffling off a big jar of candies. You guess how many. Closest guess wins. Winner announcement TBA.

Fall In Lake Luzerne! Sue is at "The Rock" - 2022!!!

So... in 2021 this happened. I landed a tourist based position with Town Of Lake Luzerne. Every Sunday in the summer I am at the historic Rockwell Harmon Cottage and Visitors Center on 37 Main Street in Lake Luzerne.  I am a trained Visitor Center Town Ambassador... meeting and greeting folks who have come to visit  "ADKs Amazing Little Historic Main Street!" in Lake Luzerne at the Rockwell Cottage. Too much fun. Plenty of fresh air. Windows and doors of the Cottage are wide open,  and a breathtaking view of the Hudson River can be viewed off the big, back porch. I love the little cottage. Come visit on Sundays in the summer and most Saturdays and all Sundays during Fall of 2022.  Visit anytime between 12-3 PM, through Columbus Day Weekend! Bring a comfy folding chair if you want... read the Sunday paper, or your book, or visit the three other historic places - Kinnear Museum on Sundays, Gailey School House, and the historic Pagenstecher Pulp Mill on the beautiful Mill Creek in Luzerne right around the corner in Mill Park!  Sundays are designated "Cookie Sundays" so come grab a cookie and join us on the porch through Columbus Day Weekend. Then I'll see you next July in 2023!

And... I'm also collecting clean egg cartons to recycle for use. Several folks in the area have too many chickens laying  eggs and not enough cartons! Plus one.

*** Email / text me if you are coming, in case I do take a day off in the Fall! I mean...you can go anyway!!! but if you are coming up to see me... let me know!

Oh! And the fabulous gift shop will be open both days at the Adirondack Folk School,  with wonderful crafts for sale...  and classes year round. The Kinnear Museum gift shop is open on Sundays.

ALTAMONT FAIR CAR MUSEUM.  Altamont Fair - August 16-21, 2022. Sue volunteered as a docent at the Altamont Fair Car Museum in 2022. What a blast! She also worked with Superintendent Rick Miller to get "The First Lady of Drag Racing" -  Shirley Muldowneys "Wall of Fame" up for all to see. Did a bit of education on her too! She is not only alive and well... but has a booming appearance schedule at the big national car events! She appeared at Syracuse Nationals this year. Hope to get her for the Altamont Fair next year.
