Saturday, July 20, 2013 at 10:05PM I have read a LOT about Georgia O'Keeffe, especially when I found a load of books about her life, at a Cape Cod library book sale last year. Went back to the same sale this year, and found some fantastic info on one photographer she really liked, Paul Strand, and then, an Ansel Adams calendar reprint of Alfred Stieglitz,, sitting at a desk, in An American Place, Alfreds famed gallery, where Georgia"s work was the main show, in NYC. ( A painting of O'Keeffe's can be seen on a wall in front of him. ) The Ansel Adams reprint is dated 1938. The book on Paul Strand, a pioneering photographer that Georgia admired, focuses on his career as a innovative pioneer of photography, and has a few pictures of Ghost Ranch Country. He was invited to Georgias Ghost Ranch home many times. For color, I bought a 1961 color printed book,"Flowers of the Southwest Deserts." I then found an old stamp book from National Audubon Society called "Desert Life." I am so delighted!!! It took a few hours to dig these old books up, but was worth every minute. All will be located near the "Rock and Bone" photography tribute show, for your enjoyment! See you at the opening of my new show," Rock and Bone" at Sharon Crutes Gallery, 73 Beekman Street, Saratoga, Friday, August 2, 2013! 6-8 PM.

We are the ONLY Georgia O'Keeffe tribute show, South of the Hyde Museums current Georiga O'Keeffe show, or for that matter, anywhere in Saratoga!!! I can't thank pro photo lab, www.photoimageslab.com Photo Images, and Abby, enough! Also, my framer, Rob, created the right look for the many pictures of Georgia O'Keeffe that will be on display beside my photography work, at Sharon Crutes Gallery. Mike Bray, Sharons hubby, will be the one to hang the show, then they are off to the Saratoga Track, where Sharon will be located everyday, offering to the public any of her beautiful, equine track paintings. If you are at the Saratoga Track, stop in and say Hello! If you need a fancy hat, stop in at " Little Red Millinery," at 48 Henry Street, (near the Saratoga Library,) and say Hello to Caroline Blake, owner and operator. www.littleredmillinery.com
So, what does all this have to do with you??? See where Georgia first made her home at Ghost Ranch, and marvel at the red and yellow cliffs she painted so often. Feel the skulls we have on display, like she would have, and view Cerro Pedernal, her belovedmountain mesa, where she said," Gid said if I painted it many times, I could have it." DO come to the most talked about gallery event opening this summer - "ROCK and BONE."

Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 10:03PM Harold Ford, who is the creator, and star, of "The Spirit of Johnny Cash" show, bears an amazing resemblance to Mr. Cash, both vocally, and physically. Harold and his Cash Band have, in fact, been invited to play in Nashville, as the first Cash tribute band to be formally asked to due so, after Johnny's death. Mr. Ford stated he didn't intentionally set out to be a Cash tribute singer, but people are demanding that he does so. Harold, Laura Lucy as June Carter, and his Cash Band, put on a great show at the Saratoga Music Hall Friday, April 26, 2013. We wish the band all the luck on their journey to Nashville!
