HEART Gallery of the Capital District

I have been asked to be the volunteer photographer for the Heart Gallery of the Capital District. Check out the Heart Gallery website! They are now proud to announce they have been granted non-profit status. They are a stand for havign difficult to adopt children  find forever homes.  While having your photo taken is not easy,  teens have a more difficult time holding still... but...once we got into the swing of things, all had fun, and we got some beautiful portrait work done! Hopefully, somebody will see their portrait at a Heart Gallery Show, (announced in a newspaper.) Proctors has hosted a Heart Gallery show numerous times! Someone who comes to the portrait show may say, "I want to adopt that child!" and the teen / pre-teen's  long stay in a foster care institution can end, if all goes well. Visits start out slow.  Most kids have significant emotional issues, and need someone who understands, and seeks to provide the wind beneath their wings. Anyone in any county can call their county's adoption unit to inquire as to how to meet children ready for adoption in any county in New York State. That County's website will tell you how.

TOMBSTONE PHOTOGRAPHY SHOW

Sues photography, featuring Navajo Code Talker portraits, and Tombstone Cowboys,  is on exhibit  at Saratoga Library's Cafe , run by Saratoga Bread Basket!

The Navajo Code Talkers played a critical role in keeping our WWII trops safe, by speaking their language during radio communications,  which became an unbreakable code by the enemy, saving thousands of lives no doubt. The Code Talkers were Marines.
