HAPPY NEW YEAR 2012!   I thought I would just hibernate this Winter, and keep my photography show packed up until Spring, but no..., I now will be hanging my Southwest photography show in Samuels, at 258 Alplaus Avenue, in the hamlet of Alplaus, New York.  It is the only Wi-Fi connected cafe around this area, where  owner Amelia Esposito serves up gourmet coffee, tea and baked goods, among other edibles. The show will be up all winter, which is good. I don't have to take it down in the middle of a blinding snowstorm, which seems to be kind of a thing of the past as I speak...!!!      Jim Miller, photographer and owner of DESOLATION STUDIOS in Altamont, NY called, and invited me to hang my work in his studio for  a few months in the Spring. I really like the looks of his studio. Jim can do it all concerning photograph, right at  his studio, including creative printing. He took First Place a few years back at the Stockade Show. Playing in the national spotlight, I have entered work, ('KISS" and  "Saratoga  Siesta,") in the 2012 Equine Network Photography Competition, which looks to be a mighty fine competition! We shall see. Oh... and I made it into Metrolands Photoland Competition, with a pic of Ed, a local WWII veteran, depicted as a "local hero!" He was tickled pink!    Lastly, I have intentions of entering a few more national photography competitons.  Stay tuned!!! Also...  Taos friend Anna  has showcased my Southwest work on her website  RENEGADEFEMME.COM  She did a beautiful job of building the photography category  around my work. I loved the colors she chose. Thanks Anna!    A shout-out to Sharon  Crute, Dynamic Equine Artist, and her equally talented right hand man/hubby,  Mike Bray. Sharon is a fabulous equine painter, nationally known, who has opened a studio  on Beekman Street in Saratoga. Mike is a seasoned art consultant, and has the  hot printer set-up for reproducing your artwork, so pay attention all you artists wanting to take the next step... Go see  the studio, buy Sharons outstanding collectable work, and hire Mike to reproduce yours!!! I LOVE BEEKMAN STREET!
